Welcome to Farmingdale State College’s Policy Library. This library is the official repository for all institutional policies and procedures and is intended to be a resource for faculty, staff and students seeking information related to the policies that govern the institution. This library does not contain department-specific policies and procedures. Please contact the department for specific departmental policies and procedures.

Retiree Email Policy

Policy Purpose

To Provide FSC Retirees with access to a new, free of charge, FSC provided Microsoft Outlook Email and OneDrive account, for use during retirement (username@retiree.farmingdale.edu).

Policy Statement

Effective June 1st, 2021, FSC existing retirees or employees who are planning for retirement can submit a request for a no charge, personal use Microsoft Outlook Email and OneDrive account through Farmingdale.edu/Retiree. A retiree is defined as an individual with 10 years of service and of Retirement Age (Typically 55 years old).

New accounts will be provisioned by Information Technology within 30 days of request for use after their last day of employment. Employees who have multiple jobs with FSC and continue to be actively employed are not eligible to apply for a Retiree account until they are no longer employed and on payroll.

Employee Farmingdale.edu work email accounts will be retired in the month following retirement and data (email, files…) cannot be transferred from a work account to a retirement account to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory compliance. Retiree Email accounts are subject to all FSC Legal, Regulatory, IT Security & Risk Management policies & practices.

This account is non transferrable and subject to annual use recertification. Account holders who do not confirm annual recertification and/or do not login for more than two years will have their account deactivated. This account and related service is subject to FSC's Acceptable Use Policy.
