The College Fee is mandatory and is utilized to supplement campus operations by providing additional funds to  support the academic mission of the College.

Technology Fee

Fall, Spring and Summer - Undergraduate and Graduate Students:

The Technology Fee is mandatory and supports the increased use of computing and communication technology in the deliverance of academic course offerings and administrative services available to all students.

Student Activity Fee

Fall, Spring and Summer - Undergraduate and Graduate Students:

The Student Activity Fee is mandatory and supports the activities sponsored by the Student Government Association which includes activities and events offered at various times throughout the semester and are open to all students.           

Intercollegiate Athletic Fee

Fall and Spring - Undergraduate Students:

The Intercollegiate Athletic Fee is mandatory and supports intercollegiate athletic activities including the program operation, facilities, and support of our teams.

Health Service Fee

Fall, Spring and Summer - Undergraduate and Graduate Students:

  • Students Registered for 12 or More Credits
  • Students Registered for Less Than 12 Credits
  • $172.00 per semester
  • $ 14.30 per credit

The Health Service Fee is mandatory and provides basic medical assistance, counseling and prevention services to all students via the Campus Health and Wellness Center and Campus Mental Health ServicesThis is not health insurance.

Recreation Fee

Fall and Spring - Undergraduate Students:

  • Students Registered for 12 or More Credits
  • Students Registered for Less Than 12 Credits
  • $ 10.00 per semester
  • $  0.80 per credit

The Recreation Fee is mandatory and supports the Campus Recreation Department which provides students with an opportunity for a wide variety of recreational activities.

Transportation Fee

Fall and Spring - Undergraduate Students:

  • Students Registered for 12 or More Credits
  • Students Registered for Less Than 12 Credits
  • $24.00 per semester
  • $  2.00 per credit

The Transportation Fee is mandatory and supports the operation and maintenance of student transportation services on campus and/or between the campus and surrounding community.

Transcript Fee

Fall, Spring and Summer - Undergraduate and Graduate Students:

  • All Students
  • $10.00 per semester

The Transcript Fee is mandatory and covers the cost of any transcript requests processed through the Registrar's Office.

Lab/Course Fees

Students enrolled in certain courses will have separate lab/course fees added to their bills.  Please check the Lab/Course Fees Information link on our website for further details and charges.

Inclusive Access Fee (First Day)

Students enrolled in certain courses will have a separate Inclusive Access Fee added to their bill.  These courses utilize digital course materials. Students may opt-out of this fee and purchase the course materials separately.  Opt-out requests must be received prior to the add/drop date.  Please check the First Day/Inclusive Access Fees Information link on our website for further details and charges.

Students enrolled in certain curriculums or courses may have additional fees.

Fall and Spring:

 

Flight Fee

  • Required for students enrolled in the Professional Pilot Program, or students who elect to flight train at Farmingdale State College.

International Student Insurance

International Student Insurance - Mandatory for all students from countries other than the United States

Students from countries other than the United States are required to be covered by the SUNY International Student and Scholar Health Insurance Program, and will have the charge added to their bill.

Parking Decal

All students who plan to bring their car on campus must purchase a Farmingdale State College Parking Permit for a cost of $30.00.  If you have any questions regarding the purchase of a parking permit, please contact the Campus Police Office at (934) 420-2561.

Commuter students purchase their permits online through the Campus Police website at www.farmingdale.edu/campuspolice.  Click on “Parking & Traffic” then Purchase Permit and follow the prompts requesting your RAM ID number and password (OASIS PIN).

Students residing in campus housing must purchase their parking permits at the University Police Office.

The first parking permit for the year is free for Veterans who bring their Military ID to the University Police Office.

Please Note:  Parking permits will be available for purchase beginning August 1, 2024.  Permits are valid from August 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.

The College requires all students residing in campus housing purchase a meal plan. All residence students will have the charge for the meal plan added to their bill. For additional information, to add additional declining dollars, or for details regarding the optional commuter meal plans, contact ARAMARK at 420-2055/2026 or go to https://farmingdale.campusdish.com.

Housing Deposits

Housing Deposits (for students entering campus housing only)

The damage deposits are paid at the beginning of the first semester and are refunded, less any damage charges, at the end of the academic year in June.
