With a community of 10,000+ individuals, students play a vital role in helping shape Farmingdale State College's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence.  This page is intended to connect current and prospective students with campus resources such as the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions, Disability Services Center, Nexus Center (Career Development), and the Office of Student Activities, etc...

FSC Food Pantry

Recognizing the challenges associated with food insecurity, Farmingdale State College proudly opens its Food Pantry doors during the Spring 2022 semester. 

The Food Pantry offers healthy food selections to all current Farmingdale State College community members experiencing hunger. The FSC Food Pantry is a judgment-free place for community members in need of assistance. The aid received from the Food Pantry is not a long-term fix but a bi-weekly resource for food insecurity.

Office of Student Activities

The OSA at Farmingdale State College has approximately 70 clubs and organizations on campus.  Explore what's available ranging from academic, cultural/religious, fraternities, and sororities to performing arts, recreational, social awareness, and special interest groups.  


RamCentral

RamCentral is a student centralized resource for all student based activities, organizations, events, and news.


Student Government Association Inc.

Serves to provide an active, diverse, and safe campus community that enriches the learning experience for Undergraduate and Graduate students alike.  Executive Board Officers are tasked with specialized responsibilities to ensure the success of all SGA endeavors.  


Campus Shuttle

The Campus Shuttle operates during the Fall and Spring semesters between campus, the Farmingdale LIRR station, and the Aviation Center.


Nexus Center/Career Development

The Nexus Center's Career Development prepares and assists students to transition confidently beyond Farmingdale State College through career counseling and assessment, workshops, training, and events for a comprehensive exploration of future opportunities.

Health & Wellness Center

FSC's Health & Wellness Center offers expansive health services to all members of the campus community Monday - Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.  


NAACP

The NAACP of Farmingdale State College provides a collective voice that serves people of color and advocates for the betterment and advancement of such individuals.  


Campus Mental Health Services

Campus Mental Health Services (CMHS) provides a wide range of professional counseling services to all students. These services are free. Accepted standards for confidentiality are followed at all times. Counseling is offered for individuals, couples, and groups. The effort is made to arrange meeting times that will fit with a student's academics schedule.


Academic Advisement & Information Center

The AAIC supports incoming and continuing students with academic/course advisement and guidance on all available campus resources.  


Disability Services

The (DSC) is dedicated to the principle that equal opportunity be afforded for each student to realize their fullest potential.  The goal is to assist students with disabilities to function as independently as possible, and to ensure a comprehensively accessible college experience where individuals with disabilities have the same access to programs, opportunities and activities as all other students at the college.  


Math Center

The Mathematics Learning Center, located in Whitman Hall Room 181, provides assistance for currently enrolled FSC students who are experiencing difficulties in mathematics courses or in the math required for other disciplines. Tutoring is available by appointment only, at no charge.


Opportunity Programs

he Department of Academic Support & Access Programs serves over 1,600 secondary school and Farmingdale State College students annually through ten grant-funded and state-operated programs. Dedicated to the support and advancement of underrepresented students, we provide comprehensive services designed to meet student needs and support the College’s mission. At the core of our programs is the premise that all students have infinite potential to succeed. It is our responsibility, and our honor, to guide them through obstacles to meet their goals.


Pre-Health Professions Advisement

The office for Pre-Health Professions Advisement (PHPA) provides valuable assistance as you work towards your career goal of enrolling in a health professional school. PHPA offers guidance to students preparing for admission to professional schools of medicine (MD & DO), dentistry, physician assistant, veterinary, chiropractic, pharmacy, optometry, podiatry, and physical therapy.


Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center at Farmingdale State College is committed to ensuring student success by delivering high-quality tutoring and academic support services. The Center provides several support services to currently registered Farmingdale State College students for courses in which they are currently enrolled, free of charge. 


The Writing Center

The Writing Center is a support service open to the Farmingdale State College community. We work with students through the entire writing process in any subject area, while addressing students’ needs in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Professional writing specialists guide students through the writing process and provide writing assistance from conception to completion of any course paper.
