About Us
The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST) at Farmingdale State College provides high-quality tutoring and academic support services. Our services are free for all registered students currently enrolled in courses.

Our Services
Course-specific tutoring in Aviation, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Electrical Engineering Mathematics, Sciences and more!
Tutoring is available both online and on campus.
Students who want to review past course topics or study for an upcoming exam can drop-in for group tutoring in select subjects on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
No appointment is necessary, and students do not need to be currently enrolled in the course.
NetTutor offers free drop-in online tutoring sessions for FSC students with NetTutor tutors.
The Math Placement Assessment is designed to assess your math skills and place you in the appropriate math level where you can be most successful.

The Writing Center is located next to CAST, Greenley 318, and offers support in all writing projects in addition to Modern Language tutoring in French, Italian, and Spanish. Support for English Language Learners (ELL/ESL) and public speaking are also available.

Activity Hour Walk-in Sessions
CAST is offering walk-in tutoring hours for our most popular subjects, taking place during Activity Hour (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11am to 12pm)!
No appointments necessary and students do not need to be currently enrolled in the course.
