Tutoring Center Update: Summer 2021
The Tutoring Center has suspended face-to-face tutoring sessions and academic success workshops until further notice. While the Center's physical location in Greenley Hall will remain closed to students, tutoring services will continue to operate remotely. Online tutoring is available in select courses through NetTutor (on a drop-in basis) and RamTutor (on an appointment basis with a tutor from FSC).
Need a tutor and not sure where to get started? The tutoring schedule lists all courses which have tutoring available this summer.
The Tutoring Center provides a variety of free services to currently registered Farmingdale State College students for courses in which they are currently enrolled. These services include face-to-face walk-in tutoring (unavailable until further notice), online tutoring, and academic success workshops (unavailable until further notice). Face-to-face tutoring sessions are conducted in an individual or group setting, depending on demand. Although tutoring is not available for every course or subject area offered at the College, the Center typically facilitates tutoring in over 100 courses each semester. Online tutoring is available in select courses through NetTutor and RamTutor. The Center also coordinates a workshop series designed to foster student success in collaboration with several student support service departments.
Please see the tutoring schedule for specific course availability. We strongly recommend students view our Frequently Asked Questions prior to participating in their initial tutoring session. Please check this page often for any important announcements.
