Note: Students may opt to receive a pass/fail grade for CHM 270, Organic Chemistry I, however there is a minimum grade of C- in CHM 270 for registration in CHM 271, Organic Chemistry II. Students planning on this sequence need to be aware of this requirement.
The following degree programs have set the following restrictions regarding Pass/Fail grades:
- BIOSCIENCE will not accept Pass/Fail grades for the following courses: BIO 130; BIO 131; BIO 210; BIO 212; BIO 343T/BIO 344L; BIO 348T/349L.
- DENTAL HYGIENE will not accept Pass/Fail grades for any student majoring in or applying to their degree programs.
- MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE AND NURSING will only accept Pass/Fail grades for non-science courses.
Note: students seeking admission to medical related graduate and professional programs may need to repeat courses that are prerequisites for admission if they are taken pass/fail. Some of the courses in this category would be BIO 130; BIO 131; BIO 166; BIO 170; BIO 171; BIO 220; CHM 152; CHM 153; CHM 270; CHM 271; PHY 135; PHY 136.
