About Us
The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST) at Farmingdale State College provides
high-quality tutoring and academic support services. Our services are free for all
registered students currently enrolled in courses.
Peer and professional tutors are enthusiastic and trained to work with all students.
We help students in a variety of ways whether reviewing for an important exam, talking
through a difficult problem, revisiting earlier concepts, or listening to ideas. Our
sessions start as conversations, so that we can breakdown concepts in a way that makes
sense to you.

Center for Academic Success and Tutoring (CAST)
Information
Peer Academic Coaching and Course-specific tutoring in science, technology, modern languages, business, economics, and engineering.
Math placement testing for all students.

The Writing Center
Information
Writing support in all classes, majors, or subjects.
English placement testing for all students.

- Accessible via elevator to Level 3 and next to the Men's Bathroom
The Mathematics Learning Center
Information
Math support in all courses.
- Whitman Hall, Room 181
- Enter through main building doors towards staircase. Entrance is located through the double doors.
