At Farmingdale State College, student success is at the forefront of everything we do. From our academic programming to our fully engaged faculty and staff, Farmingdale is committed to supporting our students at every step of their educational journey.
As SUNY’s largest college of applied learning, we prepare students to apply solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. With 46-degree programs in four distinct schools, students are provided with opportunities for internships, faculty mentored research experiences, and real-world applications to support their learning. In addition, our robust offering of microcredentials highlight industry specific competencies and enable students to further develop a specialized skill set while completing a degree.
Regardless of their major, students today are expected to understand what it means to be a global citizen, and we place a high priority on teaching a global mindset.
We encourage students to engage in a diversity of cultures through our study abroad programs, and to participate in collaborative online international learning courses, both of which support SUNY’s goal of global learning for all. Our high-quality academic programs result in strong student outcomes with 100% pass rates on board and entrance exams in nursing (NCLEX), dental hygiene (NBDHE), and commercial pilot certificate examinations. As another indicator of our students’ success, more than 94% of our graduates are employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of their graduation.
