Self Service Password Reset (Setup)
Steps to register a mobile device for the Self Service Password Reset utility
1. Open a browser and enter aka.ms/ssprsetup to register a phone/number for verification
2. Click Next
3. From the first drop down you, have three choices to choose from
- Authentication Phone is your mobile phone
- Office Phone
- Mobile App is an app that can be downloaded from your app store.
4. From the second drop down, select your country or region to add your phone number prefix and enter your mobile phone number
5. Select the method in which you will like to be contacted
6. Click Next
7. At this point you will receive a either a phone call or a text message with a verification code to enter in the box

9. Logging into one of the services that use Single Sign On (SSO) you will now see the below box pop up
10. If you installed the app, at this time you would have received a message on you device asking you to either allow or deny the log in process. If you did not install the app you can select the “Sign in another way” option to choose other options to log in
11. Choose Yes and the program will open
Using the Self Service Password Reset Utility to reset your password
1. Once your device is set up to receive verifications open a browser and enter aka.ms/sspr to change your password
2. Enter your Farmingdale email address in its entirety and the CAPTCHA characters
3. Click Next
4. Enter the phone number that was used to setup the utility
5. Click Text
6. You will receive a text with a verification code
7. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile device
8. Click Next
9. Enter your new password. Remember that your password has to include at least one capitalized letter, at least one lower case letter, and at least one number. It must be at least eight characters in length.
10. Click Finish
