Library Catalog

Our Library Catalog is available online, and can be used at any computer station in the library by visiting:

Computers

All public computers are wheelchair accessible. If you require software such as screen readers or magnifiers, please contact reference@farmingdale.edu.

Elevators

All floors of the library are reachable by elevator. The elevator is located to the left of the reference desk on the main floor.

Retrieving Materials

If you need help retrieving library materials, you may request assistance at the Reference Desk.

Library Liaison for Persons with Disabilities

Karen Gelles, Library Director, is the library's liaison for persons with disabilities. If you need information about library services, you may contact her at reference@farmingdale.edu.

Suggesting Improvements

Please get in touch through Ask a Librarian to keep us informed about problems we need to correct or additional services we might provide.

Reference and Circulation Desks

Staff is available at both desk whenever the library is open. A portion of each desk is wheelchair accessible. You may contact a reference librarian in person, by phone, or by email. See our Ask a Librarian page for details.

Appointment with a Librarian

If you need extensive help with your research, you are encouraged to schedule a Research Consultation with a librarian. You can request a consultation by using our online contact form. 

Copying, Scanning, or Printing

Staff will assist library users with disabilities making copies or scanning documents on public copiers/scanners in their area. If you anticipate needing large numbers of pages scanned or copied, please schedule an appointment using our online contact form.

Other Campus Services

The Disability Services Center is located in Roosevelt Hall.
