Any email, even from someone you know, can have dangerous links or attachments. Check before you click!

Unsure about an email?

If you get one, never click on links in it or reply with any information.  Forward it to the IT Helpdesk.


Use Two-Step Login for added security.

With Two-Step Login, even if your password is stolen, the second step of the login process will prevent a thief from breaking in.


Password Compromise

Do you suspect your password has been stolen?

  1. Change your password immediately.  Contact the IT Helpdesk if you can't change your password.
  2. Report the incident immediately to the IT Helpdesk.

Computer Compromise

Do you suspect your system has been hacked or downloaded a virus?

  1. Disconnect from the network by unplugging the ethernet cable.
  2. Contact the IT Helpdesk for help.

Fight the Phishing!

Report suspected phishing to the IT Helpdesk.  Forward the phishing email to the Helpdesk.  Be sure to include the entire text of the message and email headers.  This can be accomplished by attaching the phishing email to a new mail message.  This can be done by dragging the phishing email into the body of a new mail message.  In the Subject field, indicate that it's a phishing email.
