Work order system

Submitting a Work Order?

Work orders are submitted through ReADY Request, our online Work Management System. This user-friendly system will improve work order communication across campus. Users can quickly submit requests, monitor their status, and communicate with technicians throughout the process.

ReADY Request can be accessed by logging into MyFSC and navigating to the Facilities Operations website, or by using the link below.

Using ReADY Request
When submitting a work order, please be prepared to provide all relevant information related to the request. For step-by-step instructions on how to use ReADY Request, please review the how-to guide below.


Work Orders: How to Submit & Monitor Work Orders Using ReADY Request

ReADY Request can be accessed by logging into MyFSC and searching “Work Order,” which will direct you to the Facilities Operations website. Once on the site, click the Work Order image or use the link below.

On upper right hand corner of ReADY, use the "Request Templates" search bar using keywords to help filter the appropriate tile that you are looking for.

As we look into expanding the specific categories, we ask that you reach out to Facilities Operations at etx 2017. 

If you cannot find the room or location, select the closest room or location and provide details in the description or comments section of your request.

To request maintenance and repair in our buildings and grounds.

Depending on the scope of the work or issue reported, requests may be resolved immediately or within a few days or weeks.

In cases where the work requires extensive repairs or additional resources, the project may require more time to complete.

ReADY Request will also prompt you for all relevant details related to the issue. Be prepared to provide the following:

  • Location to include building, floor, and room number
  • Type of issue, ex. broken window, leaking faucet, etc.
  • Extent of issue
  • Scope of work
  • Person to contact for more information

Upon submitting our work order, you will receive notifications from AiM-Farmingdale@suny.edu.

If items need to be moved between rooms and/or buildings or for event setup.

Large events where chairs and/or tables are required.

Depending on the request, please reach out to Office of Events

Large pieces of furniture that cannot be moved easily without equipment or assistance.

Relocating desktop computer workstations is not handled through this service. Facility and office moves involving technology equipment (computers, printers, copiers, phones, etc.) are handled by IT.

An incomplete moving request cannot be processed. To ensure your request is complete, please ensure it includes:

What is being moved?
Where are items being taken from? Where are items being moved to?
Who should the contact person be? Phone extension?

Yes. Filing cabinets should not be moved while full.
