Introduction to Wind Energy

Explore the wind energy industry and possible careers in this area, both technical and non-technical during this non-academic course. Guest speakers, case studies, and hands-on experiences supplement the engaging content.

Summer 2021 Course Details

This is a two-week course with three start date options.

  • Session 1: July 6 – July 16
  • Session 2: July 19 – July 30
  • Session 3: August 2 – August 13

Courses meet Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. during the two-week period.
Participants who complete the 10-day course will receive a $500 stipend.

Prerequisite Skills

  • 18 years or older
  • interest in renewable energy
  • interest in facets of power generation from wind energy
  • commitment to the training opportunity
  • Veterans, EOC and BOCES students are encouraged to apply.
