The Nursing Department at Farmingdale State College is nationally recognized for excellence and known for producing exceptional, practice-ready nurses.  Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing is our most competitive program, offering a limited number of seats to ensure a high-quality, focused learning experience.  For over 12 consecutive years, our graduates have achieved an outstanding 96 -100% NCLEX-RN pass rate, a testament to the strength of our curriculum and dedication of our faculty.

CCNE Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Farmingdale State College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. All programs are registered and approved by the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions.

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Third-Party Comments

Farmingdale State College’s Master of Science in Nursing Administration program will host an on-site evaluation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on November 9–11, 2026, as part of the program’s application for initial accreditation.

In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, program constituents and other interested parties are invited to submit written third-party comments regarding the program’s qualifications for accreditation.

Third-party comments must be written in English, signed, and received by CCNE no later than October 19, 2026, which is 21 days prior to the first day of the on-site evaluation.

Comments are submitted directly to CCNE and will be shared with the CCNE evaluation team prior to the on-site evaluation.
