Grounds

The Ground Services Department is in charge of the campus's general maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and weeding. We plant grass, flowers, trees & shrubs throughout the campus and provide for the general health and care of these plants. The Grounds department is responsible for:

  • Maintaining athletic areas throughout the campus.
  • Daily garbage removal throughout the campus, including the receptacles and the ground.
  • Road and parking lot maintenance.
  • Cleaning up all of the leaves each fall.

The Grounds department is considered essential personnel during all storms, including snow storms. We are responsible for cleaning up any storm damage and, if needed, clearing all roads, parking lots and sidewalks of snow.

Snow and Ice Removal Policy

POLICY

SNOW / ICE REMOVAL

The Facilities Operations Department strives to maintain high safety standards on campus at all times - especially during the winter when ice and snow create dangerous conditions. When the college is open, campus walkways will be kept clear of ice and snow and maintained safely throughout the scheduled day. Snow and ice removal, when required, shall begin in time to ensure that main walkways are clear and safe by the scheduled start of classes and/or business day.
