FSC's Womens' Affinity Group (WAG)
Mission
The Women's Affinity Group (WAG) fosters belonging, awareness, and support for individuals on campus who identify as female including employees, students and their allies at Farmingdale State College (FSC). WAG seeks to increase awareness and advocacy for the diverse needs of FSC’s female identifying community through educational, cultural, and social activities. The group aligns with FSC’s inclusive excellence and strategic goals, as well as provides leadership in addressing FSC’s female identifying faculty, staff, and student issues.
Vision
FSC’s Womens' Affinity Group (WAG) envisions itself to be a leading organization at FSC to foster an inclusive, just, and equitable community in which WAG members are valued, connected, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Goals and Action Items
Goal 1. Connect and support female identifying employees and their allies at FSC.
- Build an inclusive community on campus
- Increase female identifying members' visibility in and outside FSC.
- Address WAG members' concerns and needs.
Goal 2. Support female identifying students' academic success at FSC.
- Identify and address barriers for female identifying students' academic success at FSC.
- Help improve female identifying students' recruitment and retention.
Goal 3. Promote supportive and healthy personal and professional development opportunities at FSC.
- Organize events for but not limited to March to celebrate the accomplishments of female identifying individuals on campus.
- Promote educational, cultural, and social events for WAG members.
