Turnitin Draftcoach
Turnitin is best known for their plagiarism detection software, but also offers additional tools available to students such as Draftcoach to provide live feedback while working on writing assignments in the areas of grammar, citation, and originality.

Turnitin's Draft Coach(Faculty)
Turnitin’s Draft Coach is a tool that students download to sit on top of Google Docs to offer students real-time insights on grammar, originality, citations, and style. This is an extension currently attached to Microsoft Word in office 365. Faculty members should also consider putting a statement about using Draft Coach in their syllabus.

Turnitin(Students)

Turnitin is an anti-plagiarism tool used by the college to check if assignments are an original work and not stolen from another source or author. When you upload work in Brightspace, Turnitin compares the submission to existing academic papers, websites, and other student submissions through an ever growing database to search for similarities. Your instructor can share the results with you and provide feedback to improve your writing skills for the future.

Where to find Turnitin
Turnitin will be automatically enabled by your instructor if they wish to use it for the specific assignment. Students will be notified if it is turned on before they are able to submit the assignment in question.

Turnitin's Draft Coach
Draft Coach by Turnitin is a tool that students are free to use and acts as an extension to Google Docs. Draft Coach supplies real-time feedback on grammar, plagiarism detection, and citations. This tool is currently enabled for students through their Office 365 accounts when signing in with their Farmingdale email address. If you are interested in using Draft Coach, you can check out Turnitin's documentation page and video overview.
