Faculty Spotlight

Showcasing Leadership Behind FSC’s Growing Online Programs

As Farmingdale State College expands its online academic offerings, the Office of Distance Learning is proud to highlight the faculty whose leadership brings these programs to life. Our Faculty Spotlight series celebrates the vision, expertise, and innovation driving FSC’s newest online degrees—programs designed to deliver real‑world, hands‑on learning experiences in a flexible digital environment.

Each spotlight offers a closer look at the academic leaders collaborating with us to shape high‑quality online curricula, integrate Brightspace‑supported learning tools, and ensure students receive the same engaging, career‑focused education FSC is known for. From the upcoming online B.S. in Applied Economics to future online pathways, these faculty share insights into their academic journeys, their commitment to student success, and the evolving needs of today’s workforce.

By partnering closely with our office, these faculty leaders help create accessible programs that meet students where they are—whether on campus, online, or balancing both. Their stories illuminate how FSC continues to innovate in teaching, technology, and program design, strengthening our online learning community one new degree at a time.
