ACE Overview
- The SUNY Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) program at Farmingdale is an exciting new initiative that provides holistic services for college students who have demonstrated financial need. The primary goal of ACE is to help students earn a bachelor's degree on time. Our staff will work with you to succeed in college and beyond!
Fall 2024 Semester Application Deadlines:
- Priority Deadline: Friday, May 31st
- Final Deadline: Wednesday, July 31st

ACE Benefits
- ACE is limited to 200 students and is reserved for active participants who are able
to fully engage. As an ACE student, you are eligible for the following services:
- Individualized counseling
- Financial support (i.e. cost of attendance awards, textbook assistance, monthly stipends)
- Leadership and career development
- Peer mentoring
- Interactive workshops and events
- ACE Summer Immersion
- Exclusively for incoming Fall 2024 accepted ACE students
ACE Eligibility
- Students applying to ACE at Farmingdale must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen (i.e. NYS DREAM Act student)
- Be eligible for in-state tuition
- Be in receipt of a federal Pell grant at the time of enrollment
- We encourage students who are not eligible to apply for FAFSA or TAP due to immigration status to explore funding options through the New York State DREAM Act Application
- Complete a FAFSA and NYS TAP Application every year and accept all federal and state grant aid offered
- Be an accepted student at Farmingdale State College
- Be or plan to be enrolled full-time (15 credits per semester/30 credits per academic year)
- Be a first-time freshman or a first-semester transfer student with a completed associate degree
- Agree to participate in required program activities
Note: ACE students cannot be participants in CSTEP, TRIO, EOP, RAM, or the Honors Program. All majors are eligible.
Farmingdale State College Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) program is part of the SUNY replication of the City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerate Complete and Engage (ACE) program.
