University Police Officer Exam
University Police Officers play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the campus community across the twenty-nine State University of New York (SUNY) campuses. Their responsibilities include the prevention and detection of crime, as well as the enforcement of state and local laws, rules, and regulations within a diverse and dynamic educational environment.
More than just law enforcement professionals, University Police Officers are active participants in the educational mission of SUNY. They provide instruction and outreach on important topics such as crime prevention, drug and alcohol awareness, sexual assault, and traffic safety. By fostering strong, positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff, officers help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus atmosphere where learning and personal growth can thrive.
