Engaged Faculty

The Office for Civic Engagement provides resources and tools for faculty interested in incorporating civic discoursce, service learning into their teaching and research priorties. The OCCE works with faculty of all backgrounds and disciplines interested in community  and civic engagement.   

Faculty & Academic Department Engagement 

The Civic Discourse & Engagement Committee (CDEC) will guide The Civic Discourse and the Intellectual Square Initiative (CDISI), an innovative effort designed to establish a sustained platform at FSC for open, civil, and informed dialogue on the most pressing social issues of our time, issues that intersect with the academic, civic, and ethical responsibilities of higher education. development and assessment. Composed of six faculty members, one staff and one student representative in, the committee advises on annual themes, reviews program proposals and civic education integration. This shared governance model ensures CDISI remains faculty-led, student-informed, and institutionally supported.
