Farmingdale State College’s Office of Government and Community Relations promotes effective communication between FSC and local, state, and federal government representatives. In addition, the office supports legislation and government initiatives that drive FSC’s dedication to student success and exceptional academic and learning outcomes. FSC is among the fastest growing schools in the SUNY System, propelled by student-centric programs, great outcomes, and capital improvements.Together with a strong commitment to accessibility, affordability, and student support, FSC is one of the best values in higher education.
In recent years, the College has added new degree programs in high demand, emerging fields including business, computer science, health care, and energy; funded an honors scholarship program in all four academic schools; secured funding for a new building to support computer sciences and information systems programs; and achieved the prestigious Carnegie Foundation Classification for civic engagement.
