Remote Library Services for Summer 2020

Getting Help

Is the Library open?

As of now, Greenley Library is CLOSED. However, staff are on-call to provide remote library services and help.

How can I talk to someone to get help?

You can email reference@farmingdale.edu, or click "Ask a Librarian" on the right. You will get a reply Monday-Friday, and can schedule a phone call or chat session if you request.

Library Books & Textbooks

How can I access library books, including the Library's Reserve Textbooks?

While the library is closed, please contact reference@farmingdale.edu if you need help accessing a textbook and let us know the title and, if it's a required book, what the course number is.  Librarians will see what the access options are for each title.

Interlibrary Loan

Can I request Interlibrary Loans (ILL) while the Library is closed?

We are continuing to accept ILL requests for non-physical items, such as articles or chapters that can be sent digitally. We are not able to accept ILL requests for items such as books because we are not open to receive them, and most lending libraries are also closed.

Still could use some help? Email us and we will get back to you shortly.
