We are Committed to Fostering a Diverse, Equitable, & Inclusive Environment for All!

"Reimagine What's Possible"

At Farmingdale State College, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all  students, faculty, and staff. We believe that diversity encompasses the richness of individual back rounds, experiences, perspectives, and identities.  We strive to create a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging, valued, respected, and empowered to thrive academically, professionally, socially, and emotionally.

Our commitment to Diversity means that we actively seek to include and amplify the voices and experiences of all students. We recognize that each person brings unique strengths and talents to our community, and we are dedicated to providing an inclusive space that celebrates and embraces our diverse community.

Equity is at the core of our mission, therefore resolute to addressing and dismantling systematic barriers and biases to ensure student success.  Furthermore, we aim to assure that all students have equal access to resources, opportunities, and support systems that enable each individual to reach their full potential.  Above all, we actively promote fairness, justice, and equal treatment for all, while cultivating an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive.

Inclusion is the foundation of our campus community and steadfast devotion to strive and establish an inclusive culture to encourages open dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect.  We celebrate diversity through facilitating an environment where students feel comfortable engaging in meaningful conversations, learn from one another's experiences, and challenge their own perspectives through safe spaces and programs where all students feel heard, and valued.

At FSC we are focused on furnishing continued training and professional development opportunities for staff and faculty to enhance their cultural understanding of diverse experiences.  Open communication and collaboration is encouraged to strengthen and build relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect.

Together as we "Reimagine What's Possible" we will continue to learn, grow, and create a campus community that honors and uplifts the voices and experiences of all members of the FSC campus community.
