Adobe Design Essentials (Full Certificate)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Adobe Design Essentials Certificate is a four-week accelerated program designed to introduce students to industry-standard design and content creation workflows. Through hands-on instruction and project-based learning, students develop foundational skills in visual communication, branding, layout design, and short-form video production using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
The program emphasizes practical application, creative problem-solving, and professional presentation, preparing students for entry-level creative roles, internships, or freelance opportunities.
LEARNING OUTCOMES (Streamlined)
By the end of this 4-week program, participants will be able to:
• Apply core principles of visual design across digital and print media.
• Create and edit raster graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
• Develop scalable vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator.
• Design multi-page layouts using Adobe InDesign.
• Prepare assets for web, print, and social media distribution.
• Assemble a professional design portfolio.
• Create short-form video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.

REGISTRATION AND TUITION
Participants may enroll in the Adobe Design Essentials Certificate as a full program or register for individual modules based on their professional goals. The full certificate offers the greatest value, providing comprehensive instruction across all modules, an integrated learning experience, and a formal certificate issued by Farmingdale State College. Individual modules are available for targeted upskilling and earn proficiency badges upon completion. At this time, students must come already with a license for Adobe Cloud. Tuition for the full certificate is $1,000. The full Adobe Design Essentials Certificate provides the most comprehensive learning experience and the greatest return on investment
