Content Management System
Farmingdale State College uses the Modern Campus CMS as its Content Management System to manage the website. Managing the website includes creating new web folders, webpages, and adding content related to various aspects of Farmingdale State College on the web. Departments can designate content contributors to manage, add, and edit content on the Farmingdale State College website for their departments. To help the Web Content Contributors create webpages that meet the college brand and web accessibility requirements, the college provides web templates through the Modern Campus CMS that meet those standards.
Although the templates are provided with web accessibility in mind, Content Contributors still need to do their part by making sure that the content they add to those templates conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Conformance Level AA guidelines by checking for “W3C validation” and “Web Accessibility” before publishing content.
