UHS Instructor Credentials by Discipline
Applications for new courses/instructor for academic year 2023-24 are due February 1, 2023. Submit an application and provide the required materials. Please note that departments may “freeze” adding courses/teachers at any time.
Currently, the Computer Systems Department is not accepting any submissions for courses/instructors for 2023-24.

Computer Security | Engineering | A Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or closely related field |
Computer Systems | Engineering | Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Science or Bachelor’s in other areas with relevant coursework or certifications. Master’s degree in a technical field or in Education. |
Computer Systems - CISCO | Business | Master’s degree preferred in closely related field, and current CCNA certifications |
Criminal Justice | Arts & Sciences | A minimum of a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field, and career experience in the criminal justice arena |
Economics | Business | Master’s degree in Economics or Master’s degree in Business and significant graduate level economics coursework completed, or related Master’s degree and significant graduate level economics coursework completed, and be NY State Certified to teach Business or Social Studies, bachelor degree in Economics or related field |

Health Promotion and Wellness | Health Sciences | Closely related graduate degree, with teaching experience and/or work experience in a health care setting or volunteer agency. A transcript showing appropriate related course work may also be required. |
History & Politics | Arts & Sciences | Master’s degree in course area, i.e. History for history courses or Politics for politics
