Study Intercultural Communication in Florence, Italy!
June 8-26, 2026
Join Prof. Lori Brannigan-Wisniewski who will lead a 3-credit course, HUM 332 - Intercultural Communication. This 3-week course is hosted at our partner, Florence University of the Arts. The course combines discussions, interaction with residents of Florence, volunteer sessions, and excursions to the Cinqueterre region of Italy and to an olive oil farm near Siena. Step into a living classroom—where every street in Italy bursts with stories, culture, and discovery. Come join prof. Brannigan: let’s let the vibrant avenues of Italy be our guide!
The cost of tuition, housing, excursions, and insurance is $4590. This does not include international flight from/to USA or meals. Housing upgrades are possible at an extra cost. You may also extend your stay at FUA for an additional 3 weeks and take a FUA course (at an extra cost)!
Eligibility and information:
- Open to all FSC & SUNY students.
- GPA Requirement: 2.75 or higher
- Good disciplinary standing
- Rolling admission until places are filled. Upon acceptance you will be asked for a $500 deposit to guarantee your place (January 5, 2026 deadline)
- HUM 332 fulfills Liberal Arts & Sciences electives.
Scholarships:
- Students who receive Pell awards are eligible for the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship (early March 2026 deadline)
- There are many other Scholarships.
