Low-cost Study Abroad for Business and Economics Majors

FSC's partnership with the Universitat Ramon Llull's Institut Quimic de Sarria (IQS) School of Management offers the perfect opportunity for Business and Economics students to learn about international business in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Barcelona is an open-minded, Mediterranean city that never sleeps. The city has always been a crossroads of culture between Spain, France, Italy, and North Africa. It is one of the greatest cultural and economic centers of Europe.

Farmingdale State College students will pay the exchange rate (FSC Tuition + fees)

Students of other SUNY campuses will pay IQS's Free-Mover rate + fees

Housing is paid directly to the provider in Barcelona (see below)

Institut Quimic de Sarria, IQS

IQS is a higher education center with over one hundred years of experience. IQS is a founding member of Universitat Ramon Llull. IQS has two Schools: IQS School of Engineering, where scientific and technical studies are taught, and IQS School of Management, where business and economic studies are taught.

Program Requirements

  • GPA Requirement: 3.0 minimum
  • Good disciplinary standing
  • Offered to juniors and seniors

Academics

  • Minimum of 12 SUNY credits
    • Must reach a minimum of 24 ECTS
  • Students have the option to take a three-week long ‘Spanish for Business’ course before the start of the program
  • Business courses are offered in English and Spanish
    • Spanish instruction requires proficiency test
