Request to Change Curriculum or Major

Continuing students who wish to change their major or degree program must submit a curriculum change request prior to the start of the semester for the change to take effect that term. Requests received after the beginning of a semester will become effective the following semester.

Special Program Requirements

Nursing (B.S.), Dental Hygiene (A.A.S.), and Dental Studies (B.S.)

Students interested in these programs must complete the curriculum change process through the Admissions Office

Psychology (B.S.) and Liberal Arts (A.A.)

Students interested in these programs should contact the academic department directly regarding program deadlines, admission requirements, and additional application procedures.

Looking for ways to personalize your academic experience? Minors, concentrations, and microcredentials provide opportunities to explore new interests, gain specialized knowledge, and develop skills that complement your major and career goals.

Whether you want to expand your expertise, build career-ready skills, or distinguish yourself in a competitive job market, advisors can help you explore options that align with your academic plan.

Explore a Minor

A minor allows you to pursue a secondary area of interest outside of your major. Minors can help broaden your knowledge, develop additional skills, and enhance your educational experience.

Advisors can help you:

  • Explore available minors
  • Understand eligibility requirements
  • Review required coursework
  • Determine how a minor fits into your degree plan
  • Understand the process for declaring a minor

Concentrations

Concentrations provide focused study within a major and allow students to gain deeper knowledge in a specific area of interest.

Advisors can assist with:

  • Understanding available concentration options
  • Reviewing program requirements
  • Determining when and how to declare a concentration
  • Evaluating how a concentration aligns with your academic and career goals

Microcredentials

Microcredentials provide opportunities to develop specialized skills and gain recognition for specific competencies that complement your degree program.

Microcredentials can help students:

  • Build career-ready skills
  • Demonstrate expertise in specialized areas
  • Enhance professional development
  • Showcase achievements to employers and graduate programs
