Chancellor's Awards for Excellence Nominations

Recipients of these awards embody extraordinary standards and serve as role models for the entire academic community. The awards provide SUNY-wide recognition in the following categories:

  • Faculty Service
  • Librarianship
  • Professional Service
  • Scholarship and Creative Activities
  • Teaching
  • Adjunct Teaching

To determine whether or not the nominee meets the criteria, please review the SUNY Chancellor's Awards for Excellence website. The SUNY website will be updated with the most recent criteria, once the semester is complete.

In addition to SUNY's required criteria, the local selection committees require the following:

  • Professional Service: nominees must have worked a minimum of 5 years at FSC at the time of nomination.
  • Faculty Service, Librarianship, Scholarship and Creative Activities, and Teaching: nominees must be tenured faculty members or non-tenure faculty (not preceded by Visiting) who have worked a minimum of 8 years at FSC at the time of nomination.
  • Teaching & Adjunct Teaching: nominees must submit student evaluations in the form of student questionnaires or surveys.

In compliance with SUNY guidelines, you may not self-nominate for the Chancellor's Awards for Excellence program. Nominations for the 2026-2027 cycle will be available soon!
