Study Abroad COVID Update
Please note that all SUNY Study Abroad/Away Programs offered on an in-person format are cancelled for the Winter and Spring 2021 term.
Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, Farmingdale State College
is continually accessing the ability of operating study abroad programs. Decisions
are based on safety, health and travel advisories posted on the CDC website and in
accordance with SUNY administration guidelines.
Please continue to monitor our site for updates.

Study Abroad is an amazing opportunity for students to travel internationally, enroll in classes at an overseas university, and experience a new culture. The programs that are available to you as a student will provide the confidence, cultural exposure, self-awareness and career preparation necessary in this expanding global job market. Study abroad grants you the opportunity to study internationally during summer, intersession, fall semester, spring semester and full year.
Another form of a study abroad experience is Faculty-Led Programs. Faculty-led programs are usually short term programs. Students will travel to the host country with their Farmingdale professor. Faculty Led programs are unique in that a student is able to take a Farmingdale course with a Farmingdale professor while visiting another country. Our faculty-led programs offer traditional classroom experiences abroad and excursion-style travel components taught over the course of an academic semester.
