Earth Week Events - Thursday

Do you enjoy being outdoors? Do you have a passion for the environment? Do you want to learn how to be a good steward of our planet? Then join FSC's Office for Sustainability in celebrating Earth Week! These campus activities will get you outdoors, appreciating the environment and learning how to become more sustainable. Sustainability is a top priority for FSC - and Earth Week is our time to shine green! Join us in our week-long celebration. All are welcome.

Earth Week Events for April 20

• 11am-11:30am: Smart Energy House Tour 

  Presented by the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center.
  As part of Farmingdale State College's Earth Week events, a tour of the College's Smart Energy House will be given on 4/20/23. Please make sure to register beforehand, and meet at the Smart Energy House 10 minutes before the tour begins. The Smart Energy House is located along Melville Road and can be found on the Campus Map. A temporary parking pass will be sent your way after you have registered for your tour. Register here.
  

• 2pm-4pm: Clean-up Hike in Bethpage State Park
  Hike hosted by the FSC Environmental Club and Office for Sustainability.
  Come join the Environmental Club for a clean-up hike in our neighboring state park, Bethpage State Park (BSP)! Meet at the BSP playground at 1:45pm. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Contact the club advisor Maia Roseval with any questions. Register here.

• 6pm-8pm: Documentary Night | Minimalism 
  Documentary presented by the Office for Sustainability.
  "The Minimalists" examine the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life. Presented in Ballroom A, Campus Center. Light refreshments provided. Register here.
