Earth Week Events - Monday

Do you enjoy being outdoors? Do you have a passion for the environment? Do you want to learn how to be a good steward of our planet? Then join FSC's Office for Sustainability in celebrating Earth Week! These campus activities will get you outdoors, appreciating the environment and learning how to become more sustainable. Sustainability is a top priority for FSC - and Earth Week is our time to shine green! Join us in our week-long celebration. All are welcome.

Earth Week Events for April 17

• 11am-11:30am: Solar Carport Tour

  Presented by the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center.
  As part of Farmingdale State College's Earth Week events, a tour of the College's Solar Carport will be given on 04/17/23 at 11am. Please make sure to register beforehand, and meet at the Smart Energy House 10 minutes before the tour begins. The Smart Energy House is located along Melville Road and can be found on the Campus Map. Register here. 

• 1pm-3pm: Tree Planting Event in the Teaching Gardens

  Hosted in partnership with the Horticulture Department.
  Come join us for this ceremonial tree planting event! You can volunteer to help plant the trees by registering here. Meet 10 minutes beforehand at the Garden Gates. Supplies for planting will be provided. Register here.

• 4pm-5pm: How to Recycle 101 Presentation

  Presented by Winters Bros Waste Haulers.
  Winers Bros' Recycling Manager Kenny Rothwell will be giving a "How to Recycle 101"  presentation in Campus Center Ballroom A at 4pm. Light refreshments provided. Register here.
