Craft Home Beer Brewing Essentials

Crafting Brewing

LEARN IT. BREW IT. TASTE IT.

Ever wonder what actually goes into brewing a great beer?

Go beyond simply enjoying craft beer and discover what goes into making it. Craft Beer Brewing Essentials is a six-week, hands-on introduction to the science, process, and creativity behind home brewing.

Participants will explore brewing terminology, beer styles, ingredients, recipe development, sanitation, fermentation, carbonation, packaging, and more. The centerpiece of the course is a hands-on brewing session where participants work through the process of milling grain, preparing the mash and wort, cooling, and pitching yeast.

By the final session, participants will explore adjunct ingredients and take part in a sensory evaluation of the batch produced during the course.
