2026 Fall Academy Registration
STEP students can participate in experiential, learning-based academies. Academies take place during the fall, spring, and summer times. Please refer to the information below, and feel free to contact the Director for more information.
Fall 2026 Academies
We are excited to be back for the fall! Here are the details, from dates to class offerings, and registration.
Academy Dates
Fall Academies will take place from 9:00am to 2:00pm on the following Saturdays:
- October 3rd
- October 10th
- October 17th
- October 24th
- November 7th
Bus Information
Bus pickups will be between 8:15am and 8:30am at our partner school districts listed below:
- Amityville High School

Class Offerings

Aviation |
Join us for an exciting hands-on exploration of aviation and the engineering behind modern air transportation. Participants will discover the mechanics of flight, learn about the many activities and careers connected to the aviation industry, and experience a memorable aviation related excursion. |
| Graphic Animation |
This engaging course introduces students to the exciting field of graphic animation. Participants will learn how artists and animators use design, movement, and technology to create compelling visual content for film, television, gaming, and digital media. Students will gain practical experience using animation tools and techniques while developing original creative projects. |
| Pharmacy |
Discover how medicines are made, how they work, and the science that keeps us healthy. Participants will explore drug interactions, different techniques, and pharmacy tools through hands-on activities and guided experiments. This class offers a unique glimpse into the field of pharmaceutical science and its vital role in healthcare. |
| Robotics |
Step into the world of robotics by building, programming, and testing real robots. Participants will explore engineering concepts, coding logic, and problem-solving strategies through fun and interactive challenges. From basic movement to advanced tasks, this class offers a creative, hands-on introduction to the power of machines and the future of automation. |
| Zoology |
Explore the fascinating world of zoology through hands-on activities and interactive investigations. Participants will learn about animal habitats, behaviors, adaptations, and life cycles while developing observation and scientific inquiry skills. From powerful predators to tiny insects, this class offers an exciting introduction to the diversity of the animal kingdom. |
If you are interested, but not already enrolled in the STEP Program, please note you must first be accepted into the STEP program by filling out our program application. Once enrolled in STEP, you can register for the fall Academies by filling out our STEP Academy Application.
