Dr. Rosa Zavala

Dr. Rosa L. Zavala is a Professor and Chair of the Physics and Computer Science Department at Medgar Evers College. Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, the Semantic Web, and Computer Science Education. As a CUNY Career Success Fellow, she enhances student career preparedness. She also leads the Tech Talent Pipeline program, a partnership with NYC's tech industry, which aims to help computer science majors gain essential skills for top-tier tech roles. She has also collaborated on multiple DoE grants, promoting computational thinking, data science, and AI across STEM disciplines.
