Yellow Belt Certification - ASQ Six Sigma

The ASQ Six Sigma- Yellow Belt certification is an entry-level credential designed for professionals who wantto under
stand the fundamentals of process improvement and quality. Yellow Belts support improvement initiatives by helping teams collect data, map processes, and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
This credential is ideal for individuals who want to build a strong foundation in Six Sigma without needing extensive technical or statistical background.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Participants will learn how to:
- Understand the Six Sigma mindset and improvement culture
- Identify waste, variation, and process inefficiencies
- Use basic improvement tools (flowcharts, root cause analysis, Pareto charts, etc.)
- Support project teams through data collection and process mapping
- Communicate effectively within a continuous improvement environment
WHAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO DO
After completing this program, you will be prepared to:
- Participate confidently in Lean Six Sigma projects
- Support process improvement teams as a contributing member
- Apply foundational tools to solve common workplace problems
- Build a credential pathway toward Green Belt or Black Belt

Class Dates: April 7 - May 14
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6 - 7:30pm
Length: 6 Weeks (18 Hours Total)

FSC firmly believes in open-access with applied expectation. Meaning, this certificate course is open to all working professionals, FSC Students, Staff, and Alum. No prior Six Sigma experience required. Participants must pass a multiple choice exam and complete case study projects to earn the Yellow Belt Certificate.
- No formal degree required
- High School diploma or equivalent recommended
- Prior coursework in statistics is recommended but not required
