Yellow Belt Certification - ASQ Six Sigma
OVERVIEW
The ASQ Six Sigma- Yellow Belt certification is an entry-level credential designed for professionals who want to understand the fundamentals of process improvement and quality. Yellow Belts support improvement initiatives by helping teams collect data, map processes, and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
This credential is ideal for individuals who want to build a strong foundation in Six Sigma without needing extensive technical or statistical background.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Participants will learn how to:
- Understand the Six Sigma mindset and improvement culture
- Identify waste, variation, and process inefficiencies
- Use basic improvement tools (flowcharts, root cause analysis, Pareto charts, etc.)
- Support project teams through data collection and process mapping
- Communicate effectively within a continuous improvement environment

- Participate confidently in Lean Six Sigma projects
- Support process improvement teams as a contributing member

FSC firmly believes in open-access with applied expectation. Meaning, this certificate course is open to all working professionals, FSC Students, Staff, and Alum. No prior Six Sigma experience required. Participants must pass a multiple choice exam and complete case study projects to earn the Yellow Belt Certificate.

- High School diploma or equivalent recommended
- Prior coursework in statistics is recommended but not required
