The Farmingdale State College Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is designed for professionals who want to lead
process improvement projects and drive measurable results in their organization. Green
Belts typically work on improvement projects alongside their regular job responsibilities
and serve as key contributors to quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
initiatives.
Green Belt training emphasizes structured problem-solving using the Six Sigma DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), along with more advanced tools for data analysis and process optimization.

Format: Hybrid Format (16 hours of asynchronous videos and 5 hours of in-person training)

FSC firmly believes in open-access with applied expectation. Meaning, this certificate course is open to all working professionals, FSC Students, Staff, and Alum. Students must have at least 3 years of work experience in one or more areas of the Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge.

- Prior coursework in statistics is recommended but not required
