Photoshop Proficiency Badge
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Adobe Photoshop Proficiency is a stand-alone, in-person module focused on building foundational proficiency in professional image editing and graphic design. Participants gain hands-on experience with core Photoshop tools and workflows, and upon successful completion earn a Farmingdale State College Proficiency Badge recognizing their skills in Adobe Photoshop.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Apply core Photoshop tools and non-destructive workflows to edit and enhance digital images.
- Use layers, masks, selections, and adjustment tools to create polished visual compositions.
- Perform basic photo retouching and compositing for professional and digital use.
- Export images correctly for web, social media, and print applications following best practices.

REGISTRATION AND TUITION
Adobe Photoshop Proficiency is available as a stand-alone module for $300. Upon successful completion, participants earn a Farmingdale State College Proficiency Badge recognizing foundational skills in Adobe Photoshop. At this time, students must come already with a license for Adobe Cloud. Please see Adobe's Education discount page for more information.
A 10% discount is available to Farmingdale State College students, faculty, staff, and alumni. A 20% discount is available for High School students affiliated through partnering University in the High School (UHS) High Schools.
