In-Design Proficiency Badge
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Adobe In-Design Proficiency is a stand-alone, in-person module designed to introduce participants to professional layout and publication design. This hands-on course focuses on typography, layout structure, and document setup for print and digital media. Upon successful completion, participants earn a Farmingdale State College Proficiency Badge recognizing foundational proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Create professional page layouts using grids, guides, and master pages.
- Apply typography best practices using styles and text formatting tools.
- Place, manage, and package images and assets for print and digital layouts.
- Export documents correctly for print-ready PDFs and digital distribution.

REGISTRATION AND TUITION
Adobe In-Design Proficiency is available as a stand-alone module for $300. Upon successful completion, participants earn a Farmingdale State College Proficiency Badge recognizing foundational skills in Adobe In-Design. At this time, students must come already with a license for Adobe Cloud. Please see Adobe's Education discount page for more information.
A 10% discount is available to Farmingdale State College students, faculty, staff, and alumni. A 20% discount is available for High School students affiliated through partnering University in the High School (UHS) High Schools.
