Summer Internships with ST-Sicily
Intern in Sicily, Italy with STSicily
Hands-on internships + holistic growth in the heart of the Mediterranean
Imagine yourself in Sicily—morning light spilling into cobblestone streets, the sea breeze carrying snippets of Italian from bustling markets, a warm brioche con gelato in hand. In the afternoons you’re not just sightseeing—you’re contributing: building campaigns with a startup, or a company, analyzing real finance data, guiding visitors through a museum gallery, or mapping a company’s social impact or learning systemic and family therapy in our psychology internship program. Evenings end with sunsets over the Tyrrhenian Sea, shared dinners with new friends, and the feeling that you’re learning who you are as much as what you can do.
Sicily is where ancient cultures, contemporary creativity, and welcoming communities meet. With STSicily, your days blend meaningful work and mindful growth: mentor‑guided internships, soft‑skill and hard‑skill workshops, purpose coaching, and weekend adventures—from cooking with a Sicilian nonna to hiking the lava fields of Mount Etna to boat days in crystalline coves. It’s study abroad for doers, dreamers, and difference‑makers.
Students from Farmingdale State College (SUNY) are invited to join our Internship Camp—a curated, all‑in‑one experience that supports you from touchdown to takeoff with housing, airport pickup, local work transport, workshops, coaching, and on‑site care.
Why Sicily (and STSicily)?
- Do meaningful work: Contribute to projects at small and medium enterprises, nonprofits, and creative organizations across Sicily.
- Grow holistically: Pair your internship with bi‑weekly soft‑skill sessions (leadership, active listening, systemic thinking, time management, emotional intelligence) and hard‑skill workshops tailored to your field.
- Live like a local: Comfortable shared/single housing in well‑located apartments; airport pick‑up; transport related to work; on‑site support.
- Weekends you’ll never forget: Cultural activities, team‑building, and optional day trips—think cooking classes, portrtait classes, boat days, and visits to cities like Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Palermo.

Internship Tracks: Choose the track that fits your goals—or ask us to tailor one to your major.
1) Business Development & Marketing. Work on real campaigns and growth projects: market research, prospecting, account management, content creation, social media, and more. Bi‑weekly skill sprints cover strategy, platforms & analytics.
2) Psychology. Learn alongside licensed psychotherapists: observe sessions (when appropriate), analyze case studies, support therapy program design, and practice structured simulations. Human‑behavior workshops explore body language, micro‑expressions, and communication.
3) Impact Measurement & Management (IMM). Blend classroom concepts with practice. Learn to design, measure, and manage a company’s social/environmental impact aligned to UN SDGs, then apply it with partner organizations in Sicily.
4) Museum & Cultural Heritage (Future Museum Guides). Train to research artworks, craft guided tour scripts, practice public speaking/storytelling, and ultimately lead tours, with iterative feedback from staff and visitors.
