FSC President Named to 2026 Long Island Press Power List
Dr. Robert S. Prezant Honored Among Long Island’s Most Influential Leaders
Farmingdale State College (FSC) is proud to announce that FSC President Robert S. Prezant, PhD, has been selected to the 2026 Long Island Press Power List, an honor recognizing the most influential leaders currently shaping the region.
For more than 20 years, the Long Island Press Power List has annually celebrated a distinguished group of individuals whose work strengthens communities, amplifies diverse voices, and drives meaningful change across the island.
FSC’s 10th president, President Prezant is a prolific scholar and an accomplished administrator who has overseen the creation and support of student programs, new degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, corporate partnerships to support student success, development and enhancement of online and on-ground continuing education programs, and several global affiliations.
“Recognition of this type typically reflects the deep and intertwined support and collaboration of the strong and dedicated team at Farmingdale State College,” said President Prezant. “Being named to the Long Island Press Power List Presented by First Central Savings Bank in concert with Schneps Media is an honor and is a reflection of the many individuals that keep our campus community focused on what we do best--teach, discover and serve.”
Presented by Schneps Media, this year’s Power List honorees—which spanned higher education, healthcare, law, public relations, human services, and entrepreneurship--were recognized at an elegant evening ceremony, held this week at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
This esteemed commendation reinforces President Prezant’s continued commitment to academic excellence and community leadership.
