FSC Launches Master of Science in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
Farmingdale State College (FSC) today announced the launch of a new Master of Science (MS) in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, designed to prepare highly qualified professionals for leadership roles in the quality assurance and regulatory systems that govern the pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical device industries.
The program offers an exceptional and affordable opportunity for advanced study in this critical and rapidly growing field and is open to qualified graduates of baccalaureate programs in Bioscience, Biology, Chemistry, and related disciplines.
“The MS in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs was developed in direct response to the increased demand for professionals who understand regulatory compliance, quality systems, and data‑driven decision‑making, and was designed to support workforce development in the pharmaceutical, biologics, medical device, cosmetic, and food industries,” said Thomas Ward, PhD, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Farmingdale State College.
This multidisciplinary graduate program builds on the strengths of FSC faculty in Bioscience, Mathematics, Professional Communications, and Business, integrating scientific rigor with regulatory strategy and professional skills. The program will equip graduates with the analytical, documentation, and communication skills necessary for regulatory submissions and inspections. Students will develop advanced knowledge of federal and international regulations, quality systems, and compliance standards. Drawing on regional industry needs, the curriculum provides a strong foundation of coursework culminating in either a capstone project or an internship placement with a company or organization in the quality assurance and regulatory affairs sector.
Designed with flexibility for working professionals, students may pursue the degree full- or part-time, with most courses offered in the evening, on weekends, or online. Applications are being accepted for enrollment in the fall 2026 semester. For more information, visit the MS in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs webpage.
