Joseph Cordova, a Business Management major, was recently awarded a Gilman scholarship for the Fall 2021 semester in the amount of $4,000.00 to study in Japan. He is the first student from Farmingdale to be awarded this very prestigious and competitive scholarship.
This scholarship, awarded by the U.S. Department of State, provides funding up to $5,000 for students participating in study abroad programs and internships around the world. The Gilman Scholarship aims to increase the diversity of the population of American students studying abroad and of their chosen destinations.
