Farmingdale State College is excited to announce the privilege to be hosting this year's 2024 STEM Diversity Summit.  As we prevail in nurturing our unwavering dedication to fostering an inclusive and diverse campus, we eagerly anticipate showcasing the significance of STEM education and professions.  In collaboration with multiple departments such as the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusive Excellence, Academic Support and Access Programs, School of Engineering and Technology, Community & Civic Engagement, University in the high school, Senior Assistant Librarian, Athletics, the Events Management Team, and our District Partners, we look forward to the opportunity of exploring the enormity of science and technology through interactive and engaging activities.

All participants will have the chance to partake in a range of workshops including interactive sessions at Brookhaven Laboratory, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, innovative 3-D Printing, Career Opportunities in STEM, and the Student Research Experience.  These workshops are designed to provide vital insights into the dynamic landscape of STEM careers. In the past students have expressed and voiced their enthusiasm in the research poster competition, this tradition will live on through the creative minds of all STEM students involved.

This year, we are honored to have Dr. Saranna Belgrave-Banton join us as our keynote speaker.  Her pioneering contributions and commitment to advancing diversity in STEM fields perfectly embody the essence of this summit.  FSC looks forward to engaging in educational, enjoyable, and inspiring discussions on perspectives and advancements in the immensity of STEM careers.
