Congratulations to the four FSC students recently selected to receive the Civic Innovation Scholarship from Campus Compact.  The goal of this scholarship program is to promote and encourage the next generation of undergraduate leaders to address local civic challenges either on campus or in the local community. Ashley Perrone, the Applied Learning Counselor of the Nexus Center for Applied Learning & Career Development, serves as the mentor to FSC scholarship recipients.

Originally, only one student scholarship was to be awarded per campus; however, Farmingdale State College is elated to announce the following awardees:

  • Aeon Blake - CPIS Project:  Survey of FSC Student Club Officers to incentivize minority student representation in these roles.
  • Nicholas Bosenbeck - CPIS Project:  Highlight racial inequity in the community to increase voter mobilization.
  • Sidra Naru - CPIS Project:  Needs assessment survey of East Asian and South Asian FSC students.
  • Lisbeth Martinez - CPIS Project:  Racial equity in career development and job search strategies.
