Eric Farina is the Director of Veteran's Affairs at Farmingdale State College. The Director’s responsibilities include acting as the one-point-of-contact for student veterans during the application and registration process. He serves as the club moderator for the campus chapter of the Student Veterans of America, while advising and mentoring the veteran population as a whole.
Eric taught as an adjunct professor of history at Suffolk Community College and currently teaches here at Farmingdale State College.
Eric Joined FSC from a full-time position with the New York Army National Guard. Prior to that position Eric was a Social studies teacher in the Fulton County Public School system in Atlanta, Georgia.
Originally from Manhasset, New York received his BA in History from CW Post after his discharge from the Army where he served in West Germany. Eric has a Masters’ Degree from American Public University in US Military History.
With over 21 years of military service in all components of the US Army, Regular, Reserve, National Guard and The Active Guard-Reserve program. Eric has served tours of duty in Afghanistan and The Horn-of-Africa. Eric has served the student veteran community at Farmingdale State College since 2011.
