My research interests lie at the crossroads of theoretical quantum information science, open quantum systems, quantum control and quantum thermodynamics. Especially, understanding the behavior of quantum correlations and quantum mechanical effects in both isolated and open systems, exploring methods to characterize, generate and protect them, understanding their relation to other physical quantities, and eventually seeking ways to utilize these properties as a resource in recently developing quantum technologies constitute my main goals in research. I am also interested in problems related to the fundamentals of quantum theory such as the emergence of classicality in quantum systems within the recently introduced framework of quantum Darwinism, and indefinite causal order of quantum operations.
