The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration (ORSPA) at Farmingdale State College (FSC) supports faculty and staff in identifying and securing external funding, seeking and managing grant-funded initiatives, and advancing projects that promote education, professional development, and scholarly engagement. ORSPA provides comprehensive support throughout the grant lifecycle, including both pre-award and post-award administration. Pre-award services include identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and providing guidance throughout the application process—from initial planning and proposal development through submission. Once a proposal is funded, post-award services help ensure effective project administration and compliance. ORSPA assists with contracts, budget revisions, Research Foundation personnel appointments, benefits-related inquiries, purchasing and travel requisitions, accounts payable matters, and final reporting requirements. Through these services, ORSPA works collaboratively with faculty and staff to facilitate successful proposal development, responsible award management, and the effective administration of sponsored projects.
