OLC: Closing the Evidence Gap - From Written Policy to Demonstrated Practice

Preparing for OLC redesignation requires more than demonstrating that policies exist—it requires clear evidence that those policies are consistently implemented, evaluated, and improved over time. This webinar will explore how institutions can move from stated expectations to operationalized practices across governance, resource allocation, technology, faculty development, teaching and learning, and continuous improvement.

Participants will learn how to organize redesignation evidence using the practical “Authority, Artifact, and Loop” framework: the policy that establishes the expectation, the operational evidence that demonstrates implementation, and the longitudinal data that confirms ongoing evaluation. Through real-world examples, the session will also address common evidence gaps and demonstrate how transparent, systematic improvement can reflect institutional maturity and strengthen an OLC redesignation submission.
